the Polygamist’s Daughter

LeBaron recounts her life as she survives a cult-like existence with her father, Ervil LeBaron, a Mormon Polygamist who began an offshoot of the religion.  His murderous ways became infamous and a troubled Anna finally breaks away from the cult at age 13.

I did not love her writing and I was not engrossed in the story. If you are looking for a much better retelling of what life is like with an abusive Mormon father, you should read Educated by Tara Westover.  Tara Westover is an inspiration.  She is a role model.  She could be the poster child for abused children that went on to take control of their lives and make a success of themselves. Interview with Westover on YouTube.
