DAK Living- Dave and Karen exploring the world!

Fall Decor 2016

Who doesn’t love the fall?  The rich colors, the crisp, cool air, the sunlight shining through the windows…I could go on and on.  Here are a few pictures I took of the front porch during the early fall decorating!  I will change things up when I pick up some mums and pumpkins.

The baker’s rack is from Craig’s List for a mere $30.00, a steal.  I use it all year to display plants and seasonal items on the front and back porch. Pillows are from Home Depot.

The plaques are from Ballard Designs and the ceramic pumpkins are from Dave’s mom.

This picture is what the front porch looked like during the summer months.  I went all white flowers this year.

 I try to reuse the summer plants as long as I can.  They will begin to wilt soon and will have to be replaced with fall plants.

One side of the mantel in great room for early fall. Picked up the wreath on a trip this summer to Petoskey and the vase is from a cute store in Holland, Michigan.

I added these pillows from Costco ($16.00 FOR A 2 PACK) to add some darker color in the room.  Yes, Costco- they sometimes surprise you!! The bird is from Target and the shelf from Micheal’s.  You never know how you will use little items like these.  They may be displayed next year totally different.

Some pretty fall colors also on the mantel.

I’ll post more pictures when I change the decor to later fall, Halloween and Thanksgiving! I would love to see how you decorate for the seasons…share your pictures :}
