DAK Living- Dave and Karen exploring the world!

Let’s get caught up!

Hello friends!  Hope all is well with all of you.  I feel so bad about Las Vegas and the devastation they are experiencing.  Those poor families.  On the news last night they were discussing some of the people who lost their lives and it was just awful listening to lives cut short and dreams and plans lost forever.  Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones.

This weekend was a wonderful weekend spent with family.  On Saturday we all traveled to Krystal Lake Campground in Vassar and participated in the Trick or Treat event for the kids. KJ loved it and we loved helping him eat all of his candy!

Olivia and Trevor won the Corn Hole contest 🙂

Olivia had to bring her new puppy Quinn!

On Sunday Dave and I shared a wonderful bike ride on the Macomb-Orchard bike trail.  We biked 25 miles and enjoyed lively conversation the entire time.

I have been trying to get in the mood to decorate the house for fall…not feeling it yet.  This is what I put on the kitchen table.  Simple and clean.

I have been reading this book lately and I just can’t put it down.  If you loved Water for Elephants than this is your next book!  I’ll have a full summary about it soon.

On Wednesday I will pop back in to share why I love to buy books from the library!

See you then 🙂
