Best book read, by far this month- Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi. I also really enjoyed the thriller All the Beautiful Lies by Peter Swanson.
I am sure you have seen Christina Anstead on HGTV. She has two shows currently, Christina on the Coast and Flip or Flop. Both shows are entertaining if you like home decor- which I do! This book was on the “New” shelf so I thought I would check it out. It’s full of information that helps women get fit, eat right, organize their day and take care of their mental health. Lots of good recipes included and workout routines.

This book was a wonderful surprise. I remember joining Weight Watchers when I was younger and I did have some good results, but I never knew anything about the person who founded the company and food plan. Jean Nidetch was just an ordinary housewife in Queens when she began to lose weight by counting calories. She helped a few neighbors and word spread quickly. Pretty soon, she was delivering motivational speeches in her living room for all the neighborhood men and women who wanted to lose weight. And thus, began Weight Watchers in 1963. Marisa Meltzer, the author of the book, felt akin to Jean in their struggle to lose weight. Marisa chronicles her own path of weight loss as she joins the modern-day Weight Watchers. It’s a fascinating read and one that all women and men who struggle with weight can identify with. Definitely recommend.
I fell in love with Justin Bieber all over again. His latest CD is titled Changes. He was on SNL as the host and he sang Holy. A beautiful tribute to his wife. You must listen!
