One of Swanson’s best! Henrietta stays home in her art studio most days and creates. She is an illustrator for Young Adult books. This is a new studio, a new home and a new neighborhood. Her husband felt a change would do them good, so they left the busy city of Boston for the quiet suburbs. Henrietta suffers from bi-polar, but with her new medication regime she is hoping to have it under control. Most days are quiet in her new surroundings and she is welcoming the calmness.
A neighborhood party is planned next door and Henrietta and Lloyd just got an invitation. Happy to go, Henrietta discovers something amiss in the neighbor’s home and begins to fixate on it.
What happens next, is a wonderful, suspenseful, twisted ride that weaves in many shady characters and everyone seems to have an alibi. All the while, people are questioning Henrietta’s mental state.
Great thriller for a book club!
