Junction Buoy

We were able to meet up with Ross and Sam at Junction Buoy on November 6th to share some good food, beer, and freighter watching on the St. Clair River in Marysville. Although it was a bit chilly, the patio heaters were able to keep us warm enough to see three freighters pass by during our meal. Always a good time and conversation with these two.

Always a good time with these two!

Petoskey and Bay Harbor

Petoskey, Bay Harbor, Boyne City, Charlevoix, and Harbor Springs (Sept. 11-14, 2021)

Our first venture to the Petoskey area this year proved to be both fun and relaxing. The weather was overall a bit cooler than southeast Michigan but still nice (mostly in the low 70’s).

We spent our first night in an upgraded suite at the Courtyard by Marriott. The room was very nice and we wound up eating on the patio using our food vouchers at the hotel’s Bistro. My Beyond Burger and Karen’s grilled chicken salad were both very satisfying.

St. Clair, Michigan

Karen and I spent an overnight at the newly renovated St. Clair Inn (soon to be a Marriott property) during the Labor Day weekend. The weather couldn’t have been better! We rode the Bay to Bridge bike trail on Sunday from the St. Clair Inn to downtown Port Huron. The round trip was 26 miles. We stoped for dinner on the way back at the Junction Buoy resturaunt and enjoyed a meal on their patio overlooking the St. Clair River.
