Karen and I spent an overnight at the newly renovated St. Clair Inn (soon to be a Marriott property) during the Labor Day weekend. The weather couldn’t have been better! We rode the Bay to Bridge bike trail on Sunday from the St. Clair Inn to downtown Port Huron. The round trip was 26 miles. We stoped for dinner on the way back at the Junction Buoy resturaunt and enjoyed a meal on their patio overlooking the St. Clair River.
We enjoyed some live music in the park across the street from the Inn. Over the two days we saw at least 7 freighters go by on the river. Day two was spent running in the morning, having a quiet breakfast of oatmeal and coffee, walking the boardwalk holding hands and sitting by the river with our feet in it. All in all it was a very relaxing and enjoyable two days on the water front.
If you are looking for a relaxing two day vacay from a busy life- think about visiting St. Clair and staying at the newly renovated Inn. 🙂
