It was a cold and wet Halloween this year and I could think of nothing that would taste better than a Cast Iron Chicken Pot Pie. I searched the web for a simple recipe and found this one. I did end up using frozen peas and carrots and cream cheese instead of half and half, just because I had both on hand. It was so good! And romantic, we ate the pie right out of the skillet with two forks. 🙂 We also ate the entire pie and managed to leave room for candy as we passed it out to the trick or treaters.
We didn't last long outdoors passing out candy, a light rain came and moved us back inside. We ended up leaving the pumpkin lit and the bowl of candy out for the tricksters to help themselves.
