New Year and New Attitude!
Hi Everyone!
Happy New Year and welcome back to my corner of the universe. I have been off work for quite awhile and have been enjoying down time at home with friends and family! Dave was off during the holidays as well; he only returned to work yesterday and I began work today with a new schedule for the term. Gosh I love my job and my life! The family is doing well- Olivia and Zach are busy planning for their wedding and bridal showers and Lauren, Chris and baby KJ are all doing well and are back in the swing of things- all are anticipating a wonderful new year.
In November, I reviewed a book about cooking with a cast-iron skillet. Well, my wonderful son-in-law to be, Zach, purchased one for me as a Christmas gift! You can imagine how delighted I was. I am now frantically researching recipes and such. At work today, when students are not asking for assistance, I will gather information for a post on the care, maintenance, and health benefits of cooking with a cast-iron skillet. Look for a post tomorrow.

Also, with the upcoming wedding and many trips already planned, I need to up my game in the exercise department! We were careful not to gain too much weight over the holidays, but truth be told, I know I gained a few pounds. We drank great craft beer throughout the holiday and spent too many hours on bar stools.🙎 I need to get serious about getting in shape for a mother-of -the-bride dress and serious about the many trips we have planned. I will keep you posted on my goals and how I plan to accomplish them later.
How was your holiday season? We hope 2017 brings you wealth, good health and happiness for you and your loved ones.
Karen and Dave
