Big changes in our family soon!!  Olivia got engaged to Zach Myers this past Friday night.  He asked for Olivia’s hand in marriage on the shores of Lake Michigan.  His sister was there to take pictures–all planned ahead of time.  He is a planner!  Olivia was so surprised.  They had dinner with Zach’s parents afterward and celebrated again on Sunday with a family barbecue.  We all drove up to Grand Rapids for the big day!  We are now in the wedding planning stage…sometime in 2017…seems so close already.

While Zach was asking Olivia to marry him we were in Lexington with friends enjoying the Elton Rohn concert in the park.   I know his name sounds like Elton John, he kinda looks like Elton John, and his vocals sounded very much like Elton John but the price was FREE and we know the real Elton John would never perform free in a park in Lexington, MI.  You can judge for yourself if this guy is a good impersonator by going to YouTube and searching for him.  He did a great job and performed for two full hours, singing and playing piano.

It started to rain half way through the show, but we didn’t care.  We all danced and laughed and had so much fun!

Woke up early to ride in the Green Cruise but the rain made our decision easy…continue to sleep and stay home to watch the Olympics. We were upset that we didn’t do the ride, as we always have had a  good time and enjoy seeing Detroit in the 50 mile ride along the waterfront.  So I included pictures from a previous Green Cruise.
