Asics Gel DS 22 Trainer shoe review. I purchased these running shoes a week ago at Gazelle Sports in Grand Rapids, MI. Gazelle has a great selection of shoes, expert help, and great service. Before I visited Gazelle, I had done some research on three different shoes. I tried all three and put them thru their paces on Gazelle’s in-store treadmill (which video taped my foot strike) and decided to purchase the Asics Gel DS 22 Trainer. My first 4 mile training run with them felt good. Today I ran a 5K race in them. The shoe was supportive (light stability), cushioned enough, and light weight (8 oz). I think they’re best suited for tempo training and 10K or mid-distance races.
The shoe retails for $120.00, Very satisfied so far- Dave.
