On Saturday we traveled to Bayfield. It’s a beautiful small town located in Bluewater, Ontario on the shores of Lake Huron in Canada. It’s a popular tourist destination and one that we will be visiting often. Last summer we traveled through Bayfield on our way home from Collingwood. We stopped, walked up and down the main street, and decided to come back when the residents were celebrating Christmas in Bayfield!
The cutest bookshop on Main Street.
Originally, we planned to stay the night at The Little Inn. Unfortunately, when Dave called to make a reservation they were all booked. 🙁 Staying the night in this wonderfully old hotel would have been marvelous. We would have asked for a room with the fireplace for sure!

After shopping we ended up getting lunch at the Black Dog Village Pub. It was delicious! We sat at the bar and got very comfortable with the bartender. He was quoting movie lines and had a good discussion with Dave about favorite bands. We enjoyed a few Cowbell Brewing Renegade Series beers. The one we loved was the #23 Oatmeal Vanilla Black Lager. Oh my, it was so tasty, especially on a cold afternoon in a lively pub filled with holiday shoppers and Christmas music playing in the background!
Can’t wait for our next adventure!!
Have a wonderful day friends 🙂
Karen
