Imagine you wake up on a Thursday and you can’t remember, literally, you can’t remember what you did the previous two days. YOU absolutely have no recollection. All you do know is you showed up at an old job thinking you still worked there…mind you, you haven’t worked there for five years.
This is exactly what happens to Business Journalist Ally Linden. Ally needs to figure out where she was for two days and what the heck was, she up too. She needs answers quick! And she needs to know whose blood is on the Kleenex she found in her coat pocket. Author Kate White, takes the reader on a journey of discovery and along the way we find a few murders, a cold case that has been opened up and is being reexamined, a cheating husband, and a psychologist who is stringing Ally along. Ally is diagnosed as being in a dissociative state caused by experiencing a traumatic event. What is this event that has caused Ally to lose her memory and not know her whereabouts for the past few days?
I really enjoyed this novel; it reads quick and kept me interested in the story. I will be adding Kate White books to my bookbag in the future.
