another busy month! Welcome spring in Michigan. We are usually gifted with lovely biking weather, but this spring has been too rainy and cold. Instead, we worked outdoors on our landscape.
We planted 10 boxwoods in the front yard to replace ones that were overgrown.
With the new front walk poured (exposed aggregate), we expanded the sidewalk and therefore pulled the overgrown boxwoods. We replaced them with appropriate sized plants.
We also had the back porch worked on. Motor City Pavers came out to spread epoxy on the existing patio.
We have been working like dogs outside and feel the pain of getting older 🙂 We are using muscles we haven’t used in awhile! I’ll take more pictures when the patio is put back together so you can see the epoxy flooring. All we need is warmer weather.
We discovered this new product at Kroger and Dave loves the pumpkin bread . I also found the brownie mix and he enjoyed that one as well. Very healthy for someone trying to watch his cholesterol.
We added pumpkin seeds for an added crunch.
Very moist and chocolaty!
We finally found the best yogurt in the world! Low in fat and sugar, we both love it!!
Do you remember this image from last month? It's the back screened-in porch idea I came up with for Olivia and Zach's house. Well, the furniture is coming in piece by piece and so far everything looks good!!
A video of their porch I took on as a project 🙂
Did we share the news last month?? Olivia and Zach are expecting!! Do you remember this book? I relied on the information during both my pregnancies, I found it very helpful.. I picked up a copy at the library used book store and put it aside for Olivia 🙂
I picked these up at Home Goods and can't wait for Olivia to post pictures of our Granddaughter!!
Let the shopping begin!
We headed out to one of our favorite restaurants and ate outdoors with our coats on.
The Rochester Mills has the best salads!!
In the evening we have watched all episodes of The Americans, it was so good. We are now looking for another series to get into, any ideas??
We continue to love American Idol and are rooting for Chase 🙂
That’s about it friends! You are now caught up with DAK living.
