Happy beginning holiday season! Decorating the house, eating tons of good food, running in cooler weather, lighting the fireplace…need we say more?
We were busy this month visiting family and having dinner out with friends. We also traveled to Detroit to see the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and heard a wonderful performance. Here is a snapshot of what we did this month.
We started the month off with dinner and drinks with our good friends Sam and Ross. We met to discuss the beer tasting we were hosting later in the month. Sam is a wonderful cook and Ross bought her a restaurant for hosting small gatherings. We met in Marysville at the Junction Buoy, on the water and we ate outdoors on their covered patio. We were able to see freighters go by while enjoying good beer, great food and lots of laughter.
I was able to spend the entire day with Reese and Olivia! I cherish this time with them. 🙂
We spent a day of celebrating friendship with Melissa, Ryan and their three girls. It was our early X-Mas gathering. Lauren hosted the party. I made our favorite lasagna.
Lauren had a beautiful table set for us. Easy clean up with a plastic table cloth from Walmart. We were able to wipe all of the messy spills!
Are you familiar with Taste of Home cookbooks? I love them. I made a delicious vegetable soup and a new bread from a box recipe.
If you are looking for a moist bread that is low cholesterol and fat and tasty, this one is worth trying.
We were able to take in a Detroit Red Wings hockey game with friends. Had so much fun in the new Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
We had a blast with this year's beer tasting!
This year we went with a green and gold Christmas tree. I'll show more pics soon.
That’s about it friends. We did see the DSO but I did not get pictures of it. The main headliner was Ann Hampton Callaway singing Streisand songs. Click on the link to listen for yourself.
We were able to run almost daily and did get in some long bike rides in the November weather.
