DAK Living- Dave and Karen exploring the world!

December Monthly Media 2021

The library decided to bring back the Christmas Tree!!  Last year, with Covid, the board voted to not display the tree at all, this year we got the OK!  It’s so nice to have a 12- foot Christmas tree welcome the patrons as they walk into the library.

I was busy this month with my media. Lots of video’s, some new CD’s and a few really good books.  Let’s get started and catch you up on what I have been enjoying from my public library!

I started the month with The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives and let me tell you it was delicious!  I would recommend this title and I guarantee you will love the surprise ending!

The Four Winds was the other fiction book I tackled this month. I was so looking forward to reading this and my name was on the hold list forever…when I finally checked it out I couldn’t wait to schedule some time in front of my Christmas tree with the fireplace lit and sit for a long while to delve in.  You can read my comments on the book by clicking on the blue title, sadly I was disappointed in the story.

I read another two chapter’s in Sanjay Gupta’s book Keep Sharp: Build a Better Brain at any age.  Remember my goal is to read one chapter after I finish a fiction book.  This month I met my goal. 🙂

Listening to…

The latest CD form Need to Breath…OMG the best music I have to listened to in a while.  The group locked themselves away during the Pandemic and created a masterpiece. 🙂

DVD’s this month…

Absolutely loved this movie. Violent, but a great story. Son versus Father for a World MMA fight. Problem is...no one is going to win.
The Abbott family finds themselves fighting monsters again as they try to remain silent. A very good sequel. Fans of the first A Quiet Place will also enjoy Part II.

Take a listen to Need to Breath: Into the Mystery. The entire CD is fabulous and you can get it free for three weeks on Hoopla!  Sign up through your library’s webpage.

All media mentioned above is available from your Public Library!
