Goal setting

As the New Year approaches, I always seem to think about what I want to accomplish.  Dave and I always find a bar on New Year’s Eve and spend a few moments writing down our individual goals, couple goals, house goals, and travel goals.

These are some of our 2017 goals:

1. Crown molding added to foyer and sitting area in kitchen and small bath-DONE
2. Paint new moldings and small bath- DONE
3. Have kitchen and small bath cupboards stained- DONE
4. Travel on a river cruise – DONE
5. Read more books per month, my personal goal- DONE
6. Continue running and working out at gym- DONE

My goals for 2018 will include something about eating more protein with each meal and recording daily calorie intake.  Dave gave me a new Samsung watch for X-Mas and it makes my recording so much easier. Other goals will include more travel, wood floors in study and main living room. Spending more time with KJ. Learning about photography. Clean the clutter in my closets and possibly maintaining just a few items of clothing…we’ll see about that.

When I asked Dave what he was thinking about in terms of goals for 2018- this is what he said:

1. Have more alone time with Karen
2. Travel to Amsterdam.
3. New Zealand?
4. Cross Train more (Run, Bike, Lift)
5. Do more with couple friends

Can’t wait to bring in the New Year!  I will report back in a few days to reveal our collective and personal goals for 2018 and how we celebrated New Year’s Eve this year. I hope you have a wonderful evening and Happy 2018 friends!

One of my favorite photos taken this year.  We were in Holland, MI shopping for Christmas gifts.
