Monday Mash Up

Welcome Friends! We hope your weekend was wonderful!  We started our weekend having Friday off together.  We woke early, ran, worked out at home, grocery shopped and then began baking.  We had a great time in the kitchen…I especially love having a partner who doesn’t mind helping me with baking and cooking and cleaning 🙂  We baked a wonderful blackberry cobbler to serve for dessert for friends, Dave and Makala, who were coming over on Friday night.   I wish I had taken a picture of the dessert it was definitely picture worthy. We also baked a coffee cake from the blog Crazy for Crust to serve on Saturday morning.

Saturday morning, Olivia came home from college so we could go wedding dress shopping! She made an appointment for 12:00 at a local bridal salon.   Zach’s mom and sister drove in from Grand Rapids.  Lauren and one of Olivia’s bridesmaids, Jackie, joined us as well.   We were all thrilled to see Olivia in the beautiful wedding dresses and even more thrilled when she chose one that was especially beautiful on her!  We drank champagne at the salon to celebrate.  I wish I could share a picture of it, but of course I can’t.

Saturday night we had KJ all night!  How can I explain how wonderful it is to have a grand-baby??? He is such a joy and so well behaved.  I took him for a long stroller ride, followed by a warm bath, put on his pajamas, read him a story and then be went right to bed.  He slept all night- from 8 pm to 8 am.    It was so much fun waking up with him in the morning and sharing breakfast.  The rest of the day was spent with family.    It was just a great weekend!

KJ is almost a 2 yr. old BIG boy!

Auntie Livvy loves KJ so much 🙂
Love this family!
