Seriously, it’s November already?

Wow, I can’t believe how quickly the weeks and months are flying by.  We were so busy this weekend and it all started with a comedian we love- are you familiar with Tom Papa??  On Friday night, I surprised Dave with tickets to his comedy show in downtown Detroit.  Tom Papa is one of Dave’s top three comedians and he has never seen him live.  When I caught wind he was coming to town I grabbed the tickets before he was sold out.

The venue was a place neither one of us had gone to- The Majestic Theater on Woodward Ave, located in the heart of mid-town.  It was a small venue which was perfect because there was not a bad seat in the house.  Tom Papa was hilarious! You can see him on Netflix or on YouTube. Prior to the show we had dinner at the HopCat- one of our favorites whenever we head downtown.

I had the Cobb salad (Keto friendly) and Dave enjoyed the Portobello Dip sandwich.  We both had a dark beer. I had a Dragon’s Milk from New Holland Brewery and Dave ordered a Tiramisu Stout from Ellison Brewery.

On Saturday Dave hung my lamps in the office/spare bedroom for me.  It’s been on the “Honey do List” for a while:) This room is taking shape and I can’t wait to share it with you.

And finally, I got to watch the grand-kids this weekend.  I went over there on Saturday morning and didn’t return till Monday mid-morning.  I was beat!  I forgot how busy two little ones are.  We played games and read books, played hide and seek, put puzzles together… it was so wonderful and I am grateful to be able to spend that much time with them.  Lauren and Christopher had a destination wedding to attend and I was so happy they asked me to help.
That’s it, busy as usual.  How was your weekend?  Did you watch the Lions lose?  What an upset!
Are you thinking holiday decorating yet?  Every blog I follow has already been talking about it.  We do loose six days between the holidays this year, so Christmas will seem earlier.  But truthfully, I can’t wait…I will be decorating a week before Thanksgiving and when our company comes over for their Thanksgiving dinner, they will be looking at a Christmas tree!
Enjoy the week-
Karen
