Lately…
We spent most of the month on Jekyll Island. We booked the Residence Inn by Marriott for a full seven weeks. Talk about living the life! Our studio room had a separate King bedroom, a dressing area, a living room, a kitchenette and a full balcony with ocean views. We moved in and felt right at home.
A Special Memory…
A memory we won’t soon forget was walking into our hotel suite and seeing our view. We were so overjoyed! To think this was our home for the next seven weeks!
Another memory was the boat tour we took. We booked a tour on a tall ship out of St. Simon Island and Dave was able to help raise and lower the sails! You can read about this on the post Dave wrote discussing our Jekyll Island trip located in the Travel 2022 section.
New Recipe this month…
The hotel room was lacking an oven, so we brought the Air Fryer to make some of our favorite meals. Making Salmon in the Air Fryer is super easy and very tasty. All I did was add a little olive oil on the Salmon and Lemon Pepper seasonings. Cook at 390 for 10 minutes and done! I have not used the Air Fryer since we got home…but I am hoping to find some inspirational recipes to make sure it stays in my rotation of cookware.
Favorite Beer…
We ended up taking day trips often while on vacation and Savannah was top on our list. We discovered the Moon River Brewing Company and we enjoyed a Dixie Kristal- a Belgian-style Triple, 9.1 ABV. Very good! We ended up getting our beer-to-go so we could sight see and drink. 🙂
Exercise…
The weather was perfect for lots of running and biking this month.
We ran in the morning, biked in the afternoon and walked in the evenings.:)
Running- 70 miles
Biking- 140 miles
Purchases…
We purchased an Air Fryer at Costco before we headed out of town. We are so glad we did, as we used it almost everyday. I have not used the Air Fryer since we got home…but I am hoping to find some inspirational recipes to make sure it stays in my rotation of cookware.
