Happy Monday Friends! How was your weekend? I hope the weather where you reside was just as beautiful as it was here in Michigan. We were crazy busy- here is what we were up to!
Four empty glasses
On Friday we headed out to downtown Utica for the “Fork and Cork” festival. There were lots of vendors selling their crafts and lots of beer and wine for sale. Tons of food trucks were offering up some good-looking food, but we decided to drink at the Steampunk Tap Room because Dave found out they were selling CBS. Yes, you read that correctly, they had barrels of Canadian
Breakfast Stout from Founder’s Brewery on tap and we were in heaven! We indulged for over an hour just loving the beer and the company. Ann and Dave joined us, and we always have so much fun together. Ann and I were cracking up over our conversation on massages and the one I received in Montreal- one for the record books- probably should have been reported. 🙂 The masseuse was a little friendly with his hands. Anyway, after we enjoyed our beer we headed to the Muldoon’s Tavern for dinner. The laughter kept up as we made plans for our Viking Cruise planned for next year. After dinner we walked around and listened to the bands playing. A good night had by all.
Saturday, after we ran 4 miles, we headed to Vassar, Michigan where Krystal Lake Campground is located to see the family. It was “Boo Weekend” and almost the entire family was there to have fun.
So nice to see Olivia again.
Little Ry Ry with his beer cart.
Ry Ry was dressed as a Ninja.
KJ was Flash!
Chris and Olivia always smiling. 🙂
Anyway, we had lots of fun and it’s always a great time when the family gets together. Don’t ask home many Tootsie Rolls I ate. 🙂
Sunday was another 4-mile run day and then we crashed, literally. We took a long nap after a quick workout at the gym and watched TV and read the rest of the day.
All in all, Dave ran 11.5 miles this weekend, I ran 8 miles and we biked on Friday a total of 18 miles. I started to get out the fall decorations. Not done but put up the wreath outside and some pumpkins inside. I’ll show you on Wednesday what the fall decor looks like for this year.
Till then, auf Wiedersehen,
Karen
