Another month in the books! I am so grateful to have a fully stocked library to choose from. If I wasn’t a librarian I would have to figure out ways to find my media. I suspect I would purchase more books from Amazon or rely on friends to book swap with me. Fortunately, I do not have to do that. It’s rare that I purchase a book and if I do it’s usually a cookbook or a self-help book that I can’t live without. When the libraries were closed due to Covid, I relied on eBooks from the library’s website. Do many of you read eBooks? I don’t mind them, but my preference is still a book I can hold.
This month was a tough to find the time to read. I hate months like this. Reading relaxes me and if I don’t read much for a month that means I either didn’t relax much or just couldn’t find anything good to read. I would say both are the case here. I hurt my shoulder this month and couldn’t find a comfortable reading position and I struggled to find anything good to read. I did end up with a title suggested to me by one of my readers- Confessions on the 7:45 by Lisa Unger. This ended up being very good and it really held my attention. I also read Last Couple Standing by Matthew Norman- funny but unrealistic.
Watching, streaming, DVD’s…
This has become a nightly ritual. When The Americans was on TV I had absolutely no interest. I remember thinking it was probably a subpar series, boy was I wrong.
Think Alias with Jennifer Gardner.
Point me in the direction of a singing show or competition and that is where you’ll find me. I look forward to Sunday and Monday nights with my entertaining idol judges. The talent this year is so good!
