May Monthly Media

May flowers are finally here!  I have been working lots of hours lately so my reading schedule has taken a back seat.  I did manage to finish a wonderful story by Kristin Hannah titled The Great Alone.  Loved the book so much, I can’t wait to read her newest one- The Four Winds, a story about the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression- one of the most difficult periods in American history.  I also read The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Although I did not love this book, I did enjoy the book club discussion we had and the wine we drank. 🙂  I also indulged in another Peter Swanson mystery- Every Vow You Break was a thriller and one that you should add to your reading list.  A quick read, but it will keep you very entertained.

Movies I checked out of the library…

A powerful film about the hope and courage displayed by a group of inner-city youth who conquer their fears by climbing mountains with a wonderful guide and mentor.
A film that depicts the extreme differences of white and black, young and old, educated and uneducated. Very well acted and offers great discussions topics.

All material is available in your public library!
