What a beautiful fall we have had in Michigan. I got married this month! Can you believe I didn’t even take a day off work? We married on Saturday, October 16 at 11:00 am. The sun was shining and the temps were warm- warm enough for a champagne toast in the gardens. We were so happy to see 60 of our closest friends and family members.
Even though I was busy this month, I did manage to get in some reading time. I started the month with Silver Tears written by Scandinavian writer Camilla Lackberg. Lackberg does not disappoint in this psychological thriller. I changed things up a little and read a simple book about friendship. All the Little Hopes was very good and I have already recommended it to many young adult readers and adult readers alike.
As far as Non-fiction goes, I continue to read Sanjay Gupta, Keep Sharp and I am glad to report I am on Chapter 4. I actually started to takes notes as I read- so much information to remember! I also was drawn to the cover of this book- Out of Many, One by George W. Bush. A wonderful pictorial of immigrants and President Bush is the artist.
